The DOE representatives to the U.S. Mission provide essential technical, organizational, logistical and coordination support in the areas of international safeguards and verification, energy security, energy efficiency, peaceful applications of nuclear technology for sustainable development, export controls, and other technical assistance programs for DOE/NNSA and other USG agencies.  DOE/NNSA's Vienna office plays an important role in maintaining open lines of communication, strengthening relationships between critical organizations and providing essential support to the Mission's many delegations and visitors.
