Signatures and Observables | National Nuclear Security Administration

The Signatures and Observables portion of the PD program is used to determine the key physical signatures of the nuclear fuel cycle. This then provides a basis for developing new detector capabilities through either the mission or enabling technology portfolios. Overall, the Proliferation Detection program facilitates long-term scientific innovation, through sustained commitment to mission-focused technical areas that build "best-in-the-world" competence.
