Environmental Projects and Operations

Goal
Continue risk reduction and cleanup of the environmental legacy from Cold War-era activities at NNSA sites in accordance with applicable environmental laws and regulations, and in consultation with affected stakeholders and tribal governments.

Means and Strategies
NNSA, working in concert with other federal agencies, states, and affected citizens, will execute its cleanup and waste disposition projects in a cost-effective, compliant and safe manner consistent with end states that support the nuclear weapons complex mission.
