A generator and technical equipment is weighed and stacked before loading on the C-17 headed to Japan. Highly trained nuclear emergency response personnel and more than 17,200 lbs of hi-tech equipment were sent to Japan as part of the Department of Energy’s effort to assist in the response to the March 11 earthquake and tsunami.
