Weighing a pallet before loading | National Nuclear Security Administration

A National Security Technologies employee from the National Nuclear Security Administration weighs a pallet prior to loading on an Air Force C-17. The rugged containers are used to transport highly sensitive equipment. Highly trained nuclear emergency response personnel and more than 17,200 lbs of hi-tech equipment are being sent to Japan as part of the Department of Energy’s effort to assist in the response to the March 11 earthquake and tsunami.
